Apple and HTC - The Patent War Continues

Apple has filed "Yet Another Lawsuit" [Court Case Number 1:11-cv-00611-UNA] against HTC Corp in the Delaware District court. HTC BVI, HTC America and HTC America Holding are also listed in the list of defendants. Additionally, the defendant list also includes Exedea Inc as a defendant in the lawsuit. It is believed based on court documents that Exedea is a wholly owned subsidiary of HTC BVI and incorporated in the state of Texas. HTC sells mobile communication devices in the United States through Exedea.

The Apple patents, as mentioned in the lawsuit, are:

US7,844,915: Application programming interfaces for scrolling operations
US7,084,859: Programmable tactile touch screen displays and man-machine interfaces for improved vehicle instrumentation and telematics
US7,920,129: Double-sided touch-sensitive panel with shield and drive combined layer
US6,956,564: Portable computers [Apple bought this patent from British Telecommunications PLC]

Apple and HTC are involved in an increasingly bitter dispute and this lawsuit will further add to HTC's current sufferings.
